Frank advises early-stage companies in Agritech and Foodtech on business and go-to-market strategy and supports them on their journey to get investment ready.
For the past 14 years he has been actively involved in the innovation ecosystem. As a mentor at New Ventures BC, an active investor with eFund, a BC-based Angel Fund that invested in 40+ BC technology ventures, and as a leadership team member at the VANTEC Angel Network, BC’s largest Angel investor community that hosts monthly investor pitch meetings.
He is an advocate of the strategic integration of ESG/SDG/GHG, climate and risk considerations in business models, and supports companies with envisioning and enabling value chain transformation, the development of their theory of change, strategic partnerships and investor communication.
As an EiR at Foresight he enjoys the opportunity to support Agritech founders across Canada who are helping to solve some of the biggest challenges in agriculture and across the agrifood value chain with transformative innovation. The program focuses on getting to problem/solution and product/market fit, a viable business model design and ability to scale. He also contributed to other Foresight programs including agriNEXT, EarthTech that are focused on industry adoption and investment and the Access to Capital program.
Prior to advising and mentoring early-stage companies Frank provided marketing strategy and services to corporations and business owners with his agency Crush Marketing. He held senior global marketing roles with high-tech businesses in Canada and US Fortune 500 companies in Europe. He studied at the European Business School in London, lived and worked in The Netherlands, The UK, Germany and France. He also enjoys sailing, skiing and exploring the wine regions of the world.
