Our annual NED event is inspired by the world-renowned TED Talks, where experts of all disciplines talk about an idea, project, or topic. An inspiring mini-conference for Vancouver’s Dutch and Canadian business communities The talented speakers invited have a strong Dutch connection and are working on the cutting edge of their respective fields.
The Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Sebastiaan Messerschmidt, kicks off the evening with an overview of the Consular mission in BC, what they have accomplished so far, and what lies ahead for 2023–2024, followed by the introduction of the new Deputy Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Adriaan van Velthoven.

Our doors open at 6:30 p.m. for networking and welcome drinks. The official program starts at 6:50 p.m. with a brief introduction by our DBC President, Tjerk Weidema.
